Axiom welcomes new member Peter SellarBack to News Listing
Axiom Advocates is delighted to welcome new member Peter Sellar. Peter called to the bar on 11th July after working in-house for over two years as Head of Competition and Regulatory law for the Insurance Division of the Lloyds Banking Group. During that time, he led a comprehensive competition law compliance programme and managed a variety of OFT and other regulatory investigations. Prior to his in-house position in the financial sector, Peter worked primarily in Brussels on EU regulatory matters. From 1999-2012, he advised clients on trade law, competition law, free movement of goods issues (including on chemicals, biocides and pesticides, waste and electrical and electronic equipment, fuel and toys), data protection and litigation before EU courts. Between 1996 and 1998, he trained in a civil and criminal legal aid firm in Inverness.
Morag Ross of Axiom Advocates who acted as Peter’s devil master is particularly delighted to welcome Peter to Axiom. “He brings with him a great deal of experience, particularly in European law. I believe he will be a real asset and am confident that instructing solicitors and clients will appreciate his abilities”.
Peter will be practising in the fields of commercial, EU, competition and public procurement, public law and judicial review.
