Peter called to the Bar in 2014 after working for over 15 years in private pracitice advising clients on EU law. His EU law focus has included trade law, competition law, free movement of goods and services (including chemicals, biocides and pesticides, waste and electrical and electronic equipment, cosmetics, food, fuel and toys) and data protection. During that time, he also gained significant experience in EU litigation as a solicitor and he continues to focus on that at the bar. Peter has also worked in-house for over two years as Head of Competition and Regulatory law for the Insurance Division of the Lloyds Banking Group. Between 1996 and 1998, he trained in a civil and criminal legal aid firm in Inverness.
